Ornette Coleman - Live At Golden Circle Vol 1 (UHQ CD)
In late 1965, iconoclastic saxophonistĀ Ornette ColemanĀ embarked on his first tour of Europe with a new trio featuringĀ David IzenzonĀ on bass andĀ Charles MoffettĀ on drums. Two nights of the trioās two-week engagement at the Golden Circle (Gyllene Cirkeln) in Stockholm, Sweden were recorded and released across two volumes the following year. The freewheeling live sets were electrifying and found the saxophonist jumping off into sound explorations on the violin and trumpet as well, marking the beginning of an intriguing new chapter of his legendary career.
UHQ-CDās reproduce the sound of original master tapes as faithfully as possible by utilizing new transfer technologies and improved materials to produce high-quality sound with a better representation of the whole stage. UHQ-CDs comply with CD standards and can be played on existing players. Each title is presented in a UHQ-CD jewel case with an obi-strip and the original sleeve notes reproduced on the back inlay.
